Headache is a slick arcade platform game which has elements of Donkey Kong. The visual presentation and the coin-op style use of loud and variable-pitch sound effects makes it feel like good value for money at £2.50.

The game is set inside a head, and it's the player's job to fetch impulses to the brain. Impulses are manifested out of thin air at the nerve centres that are placed in various positions on various platforms. Only one impulse can be carried at a time.

The main foes in Headache are the Throbs, who start the game as jellyfish and change their appearance for each level. The player is armed with a weapon that will vanquish a Throb with one hit. However, the player also has to avoid and defeat the fast-moving Head Banger, who dashes up towards the brain.
