The back of Revs box says:
REVS for the Commodore 64/128 computer
TO PLAY IT IS TO BELIEVE...
Inch by Inch, the fastest Grand Prix circuit in the world has been converted into a colourful, 3D graphics game of nerve and skill to challenge the most competent and courageous of drivers.
REVS is, simply, the most advanced race simulator yet. Both car and circuit are painstakingly modelled on the real thing - down to details such as the lie of the land - at both SILVERSTONE and BRAND's HATCH.
Compete against your friends or on your own against the computer-controlled cars. Name your own competitors; compete against their skill; make your own adjustments to the aerodynamics of your car; master the finger-tip controls to increase your skill in hours of enjoyment. Enjoy the sights, sounds and spills of real racing.
Complete with driver's manual, souvenir programme, maps of Silverstone and Brand's hatch, REVS is fully compatible with either keyboards or analogue joysticks.
The back of the Revs Plus box says:
REVS. The only true motor racing simulation on the Commodore 64.
REVS+ Much more than a sequel, it's an essential upgrade. It's even better with COMPUTER AIDED STEERING, FULL JOYSTICK COMPATIBILITY. It includes four new demanding courses - OULTEN PARK, SNETTERTON, DONNINGTON PARK and the infamous NEUBERGRING, all serving to make your Commodore 64 the ultimate driving machine.
Revs / Revs Plus were both released in black plastic cases. Revs Plus was only just larger than a 5.25 inch floppy disk, whilst the original Revs box was much bigger. They both contained a manual and other paraphernalia. The track maps were included in the Revs souvenir programme, whilst it was a separate poster for Revs Plus.
