Acid Drops (Firebird Silver £2.50)

Acid Drops (Firebird Silver £2.50)

Acid Drops was submitted to Firebird by Mike Granby in response to the original Firefly advert published in the computer magazines in the Spring of 1984. It was 13th in the production cycle and was Firebird’s fourth game to be published for the BBC Micro, after Bird Strike, Gold Digger and Duck!.

Bath of horror

The original title for Mike Granby’s game was actually Acid Bath, but TelecomSoft decided the title was a little too controversial and so changed it to the slightly safer Acid Drops.

Very Difficult. I beat it, but only with the cheat code (which is MJG btw). It starts off decent but everything after the 5th level is ridiculous. The tunnel sections between the levels are sometimes not even possible.
